Exploring Mathematics Through Literature Day 2: Why Use Books in the Classroom?
K-8
Share
Teachers have found that high quality, well designed children's books in mathematics can become effective teaching tools. Participants will learn that when selecting books for the classroom, they should look beyond the illustrations and authors to determine the mathematical task that will be reinforced. Teachers will acquire more expertise in using children's literature as they learn what to look for in the books.
