Social Skills and Strategies for Teaching

Social skills are important for all students, especially those with special needs. This one day workshop will cover the "why and how" of teaching social skills throughout the school day. Participants learn how Social Narratives help students be better prepared for social situations. Teaching students the use of social language will increase their ability to work with others, make friends, and as adults, to maintain employment. Developing social skills and providing students the opportunity to practice them throughout the day is important for all students.
