In this session, Dr. Carolina Crimm will lead you through the life of Bernardo de Galvez, an unknown Spanish hero of the American Revolution who helped supply both George Rogers Clark and General Washington with goods at the time when General Washington was at Valley Forge and needed help desperately. From 1777 until 1782, Galvez sent supplies and then, with this rag-tag army, defeated the British on the Mississippi and in the Gulf. His victories helped Washington win at Yorktown and defeat the British ending the American Revolution. This session will talk about problem solving and incorporating the TEKS. Experience History- The Alamo will also be here.
