Ready, Set, Write- Developing Early Writing Skills
Establishing a Solid Writing Foundation in Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade

Early writing opportunities enable children to experience the joy of written expression while accelerating their literacy skills. Participants will learn how to model skills necessary to teach early writing in Pre-K through 1st Grade. Strategies for launching excited writers, reviewing the writing TEKS and Pre-K Guidelines, implementing the Writing Process, as well as many other necessary skills to help students become proficient writers will be addressed in this workshop. Participants will engage in hands-on writing experiences and leave with practical ideas to implement in the classroom.
