This workshop will provide an overview of the newest "must have" book written by Dr. Jerome Sattler, "Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations and Applications, Sixth Edition". Highlights from each chapter will be presented and participants will learn about various intellectual and achievement assessments as well as the administration and interpretation of these assessments. Dr. Sattler will present methods for becoming an effective evaluator and for writing meaningful psychoeducational reports. Participants will receive a copy of the presented book as well as a copy of the companion book "Resource Guide to Accompany Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations, Sixth Edition" also written by Dr. Sattler.
Dr. Jerome Sattler has won numerous awards, written several books and published over 100 articles in the field of school and clinical psychology. He is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Sattler is currently Professor Emeritus and an Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University. Currently, Dr. Sattler is only presenting this session in Texas at Region 6 ESC.
