Early Childhood State Requirements in Pre-K and Kindergarten Classrooms
Raising the bar by meeting the requirements of Rider 78, the TX Pre-K Guidelines and the Kn TEKS
Share
The Texas Legislature has strengthened the educational focus on Early Childhood Education in Texas. This focus has brought many changes and new requirements for Pre-K and emphasized the urgency of strengthening our Kindergarten programs. Participants of this workshop will gain a better understanding of the High Quality Pre-K Requirements, The Texas Pre-K Guidelines, and the Kindergarten TEKS. This workshop will focus on successful classroom implementation of grade level requirements, identify a variety of interactive teaching strategies, and discuss how progress monitoring and targeted lesson planning can boost the academic success of our youngest learners.
