Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series
Early Childhood Stuttering Therapy: A Practical Approach

Continuing education is a requirement for speech-language pathologists (SLPs).  The SLP must stay up to date on the latest in therapy and research. The Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series is designed to address current issues, best practices and intervention strategies for SLPs in the field.

Important Session Information:

Stuttering in preschool and young school-age children can be one of the more challenging disorders for speech-language pathologists to treat. Many clinicians are uncertain about which children need treatment and about what therapy techniques help children overcome their difficulties with fluency.  This webinar will address those concerns by providing specific examples of assessment strategies, treatment goals, and therapy activities. Participants will also explore strategies for working with parents and methods for helping children develop healthy, appropriate attitudes toward their communication skills.
