Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series
Speech and Language Interventions for Young English Language Learners (ELLs)

Continuing education is a requirement for speech-language pathologists (SLPs).  The SLP must stay up to date on the latest in therapy and research. The Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series is designed to address current issues, best practices and intervention strategies for SLPs in the field.

Important Session Information:

As the heterogeneity of children receiving language therapy in the schools expands, it can be challenging for professionals to identify and implement effective strategies for addressing the language and learning needs of their students. This presentation will explore current evidence, specific to providing therapy in the public schools.  Participants will explore implications for that evidence for a heterogeneous caseload, and identify therapy strategies to make therapy fun and effective for promoting language growth.
