Writing in the Elementary Classroom
Establishing a Solid Writing Foundation in Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade

Early writing experiences enable children to experience the joy of written expression while accelerating their literacy skills. Participants will learn how to model skills necessary to teach writing in the elementary classroom to enhance children's writing development. The writing process, TEKS, and other skills necessary to help students become proficient writers will be addressed in this workshop.  We will engage in hands-on activities for practice.  Participants will be provided resources to take back to the classroom for immediate implementation.
