You Should See What They are Saying: More Augmentative and Alternative Communication Talking with Data Logging




Region 6 Education Service Center and the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) are offering live webinar broadcasts in assistive technology.  These webinars are designed to provide the latest information on assistive technology products and services.  Best practices from leading regional, national and international presenters will be discussed.  All webinars are designed to provide resources and tools for use at school, home, work and in the community.

Important Session Information:


It is a daunting task teaching and modeling the many languages of Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Many devices have built-in data logging, so it is easier than ever to see what is being said on speech generating devices to monitor progress, tweak goals and determine staff training needs. How do you use that data once you see it? Participants will meet four communicators using different speech generating devices in various settings and see how their individual data helps guide instruction and gets everyone fired up for communication!
