Best Practices in the Evaluation and Identification of Dyslexia

In this session, participants will learn about the components of a dyslexia evaluation including academic and cognitive processing as well as other areas to consider.  In addition, an understanding of various pathways to evaluation and identification (Section 504 and IDEA) will be developed through a review of the recently updated Texas Dyslexia Handbook.

In this session, Special Education evaluation personnel will learn about the evaluation and identification of all students with Dyslexia.
