During the 85th Legislative Session, SB 1566 was passed
requiring school board members to receive training every two (2) years relating to their “oversight and strategic leadership regarding student academic achievement.”
SB 1566 also requires all school board members complete this training prior to September 1, 2018. This training must be
provided by a certified trainer.
