Making Grammar Meaningful
Focused on Patterns of Power by Jeff Anderson


Instead of chanting grammar rules or completing countless convention worksheets, let’s get students exploring conventions as special effects devices that activate meaning. In this session, participants will look at ways to use authentic texts and recognize the essential grammar conventions that readers and writers require to make meaning. The presenters will help make the differentiation process easier with guidance from our Curriculum and Instruction Specialist over Special Education and our Advanced Academics (G/T) Specialist.
