Guided reading lessons should be designed to provide sound literacy instruction and teacher directed practice for beginning readers. Participants of this session will learn how to structure a guided reading lesson with integrated teaching points, develop differentiated guided reading groups based on student data, and implement management strategies for making this time of day run smoothly in the classroom.
