Elevating the Effectiveness of Pre-K and Kindergarten Programs

Evaluating the quality of your early childhood programs helps ensure that our youngest learners are receiving the early learning experience necessary to support optimal development and learning in early childhood.  This workshop will explain the benefits and uses of the the evaluation of Kindergarten Programs and address the Rider 78 Requirement that all Pre-K Programs must be evaluated for effectiveness. It will focus on the TEA High Quality Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Self-Assessment Tools.  Participants will learn strategies for forming a campus assessment team, developing a timeline for implementing the evaluation, and discussing key areas to target for their campus.  In addition, participants will discover how this tool can be effectively utilized for several different purposes, including assisting in the development of their campus plan.
