Behavior and Data Collection - What Do I Need to Know and Do?
New Special Education Teacher Institute - Session 4

Morning Workshop Focus: Upgrading Your Tools to Support Students with Challenging Behaviors

Learn how to further identify WHY a student may be motivated to act out in class, ways to change this motivation toward desired behavior, and how to implement proactive behavior strategies BEFORE behaviors occur.

Afternoon Workshop Focus: Keep Calm and Carry Data!

Learning ways to collect data can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. Come learn easy ways to take data on IEP goals based on student’s objectives while still getting clean and effective data for progress reports and ARD meetings. Data measurements such as frequency, duration, latency, and A-B-C data will be compared and contrasted to determine which method(s) are best for measuring which goals and skills.
