The LAS Battery of Assessments
Pre LAS and LAS Links TOT for Paper Administration


This is a trainer-of-trainers session for personnel who will be administering or training others to administer components of the LAS Battery of Assessments. As of fall 2019 this is the statewide assessment used in determining language proficiency to identify English Learners in Texas. This training will be provided by representatives from Data Recognition Corporation.
Important Session Information:

This hands-on, interactive session is a trainer-of-trainers for the PAPER TEST administration of the Pre-LAS and LAS Links. Training will include how to administer the pre LAS and LAS Links paper assessment in a standardized manner utilizing the manual guidelines, as well as, how to interpret scores for LPACs to use when identifying English learners. The LAS Links Digital Libraries will be used as a training resource and can be downloaded from www.laslinks.com/Texas. This training will take place at the Region 6 Professional Development Center in Huntsville. The session maximum is 70 participants and limited to one person per district or charter school.
