Mathematics Mentors in Action

The purpose of the Texas Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching (TRC-M) is to improve math achievement by continuously stimulating teachers’ intellectual growth and upgrading teachers’ knowledge and skills through activities that are founded on scientifically based research and aligned with the TEKS. The Mathematics Teacher Mentor (MTM) component builds teacher leaders in mathematics to ensure the success of both educators and students. TRC-M MTM Academy The following will be the focus for each session of this intensive training. Day 1: Mathematics Mentors for Improved Teacher and Student Learning Day 2: Creating a Mathematics Mentoring Program Day 3: Developing and Training Mathematics Mentors Day 4: The Mathematics Mentor in the School Setting Day 5: Mathematics Mentors in Action
