Six Syllable Types
Help Students Improve Their Reading and Writing Skills




This workshop is designed to introduce the six English syllable patterns in order to increase understanding of word pronunciation, decoding and spelling.  Teachers will learn a variety of multi-sensory strategies to use in the classroom to help build a strong foundation for literacy.  Word study and English morphology are emphasized as a means to promote reading fluency.  Struggling readers and students with age-appropriate skills can benefit from learning the six syllable types.  Grades 2 and above.
