Moving English Learners Forward on the ELA EOC




This session will outline simple steps that will make both the essay writing and multiple choice portions of the EOC assessment less threatening. Participants will explore approaches for secondary ESL and ELA teachers to scaffold instruction and to boost students' performance on both parts of the EOC.

Important Session Information:


Participants will have an opportunity to examine the required elements of the essays and learn how to help students incorporate these elements into their writing, as well as specific strategies for improving reading comprehension and responding to multiple choice items. 

Participants will receive a resource booklet for their reference.
