Join us for three days of learning and professional development in the area of student certification for welding.

Cost:
$250 per attendee – (SSA Members $100)
What:
1. A basic overview of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and Oxy-fuel cutting;
2. A review of the American Welding Society D1.1 and D9.1 codes and welder testing criterion;
3. Hands-on use of welding inspection and measuring tools to examine welds against code inspection criteria;
4. How to initiate a student welder qualification and certification program in your school;
5. A path for attending instructors to obtain welder certification to AWS welding codes and welding inspection certification to American Society for Nondestructive Testing inspection codes.
Workshop fee includes welding inspection gauges, course workbook and, providing tests are passed, welder, and inspector certification to attendees. When all workshop requirements are met, attendees will be certified as welders and inspectors under AWS, API, and ASNT codes where applicable, and authorized to test welders and submit paperwork for student certification to TEA accountability code items. Participants are expected to commit to all three days.
