Assistive Technology Mini-Webinars
The Assistive Technology (AT) Continuum - Supporting Classrooms Using No-Tech, Low-Tech Tools

What is the process for selecting and implementing assistive technology (AT) for your students?  Most educators struggle with using AT and how to use it in providing meaningful classroom activities to our most impacted learners.  In addition, educators are finding it hard to attend all-day workshops, so Region 6 ESC has created mini-webinar sessions.  These mini-webinars focus on AT strategies, communication systems and devices that provide educators with the opportunity to design learning experiences with individual needs in mind.

Important Session Information:

Students with special challenges can't function within the rigid limits of assignments. Under federal laws and regulations concerning assistive technology (AT), students with special needs may be entitled to tools which help them be more successful. Many educators think that AT only means computers and high-tech devices. The reality is that there are multitudes of no-tech and low-tech tools which can help students with special needs
