Autism Spectrum Disorders and Behavioral Supports: What Educators Need to Understand




This interactive, two-day event is designed to help general and special education teachers and staff to understand the complex behavioral support needs of students diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

This event is scheduled for two days of instruction 

Day One will include the following topics:

  • The characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with ASD
  • Strategies for supporting the complex needs of students with ASD across all school settings
  • Optional case study structure supporting individual classroom needs

Day Two will be a follow-up to the case study goal implementation from the day one activity
