STAAR Alternate 2: Components and Implementation Resources

STAAR Alternate 2 is designed for the purpose of assessing students who have significant cognitive disabilities and receive special education services. Current requirements for training, changes, and online resources will be reviewed. Strategies to facilitate instruction and assessment of grade-level curriculum through prerequisite skills will be discussed. During this workshop instructional and procedural tips for effectively teaching and assessing subject area prerequisite skills will be reviewed.

This session will be presented via distance learning. There are two dates to view this session - Thursday, January 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
