2020 The AET – Education and Training Pilot
The AET is partnering with Region 6 ESC to pilot a new platform for Education and Training CTE educators. The project goal is to develop a platform similar to that of The AET that is used extensively in agricultural education programs across the nation. The platform will incorporate all of the 14 career clusters approved by TEA. We believe this project will enable CTE teachers across all of the career clusters the ability to engage, manage, and evaluate student experiences and skill mastery in their programs. Specifically, as students begin to work in practicums, internships, and career prep courses, teachers will have a way to effectively and efficiently engage students and community partners. The intended outcome for students and teachers includes student portfolios documenting mastery of standards aligned with programs of study and industry-based certifications, and documentation/reporting ability for programmatic efforts.
