G/T Summer Symposium
20:20 Vision - ONLINE
Share
Attendees will network and collaborate, discuss the latest research in gifted education, learn strategies to reach the unique needs of gifted students, and receive 6-hours of update credit!
Important Session Information:
20/20 Vision is going ONLINE! Our original conference has been moved to a virtual format. Now, more than ever, we need a clear vision in order to adequately serve our gifted population! We will hear from the TEA Statewide Coordinator Monica Brewer and Paulina van eeden Hill from TAGT. Keynote speaker will be Andi McNair, author of Genius Hour in the Classroom and A Meaningful Mess. Additionally, participants will complete a virtual makerspace activity led by a makerspace expert! Original topics of discussion include: state law and legislation, current G/T trends, student-led learning, genius hour and makerspace ideas. Due to our current situation, we will address these issues through the "Covid-19 Lens" so that we can prepare powerful opportunities for our gifted students regardless of if we are in a classroom or online. This is a MUST for all educators, administrators, instructional coaches, counselors, and coordinators. Come earn G/T Update credit while getting the latest information possible!
