Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series
Doin’ the Three-Step: Intentionally Moving Language Forward Through Augmentative Communication: Make a Decision on the Personal System

Continuing education is a requirement for speech-language pathologists (SLPs).  The SLP must stay up to date on the latest in therapy and research. The Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series is designed to address current issues, best practices and intervention strategies for SLPs in the field.

Important Session Information:

Decisions begin by asking good questions. Participants will explore the key questions related to determining a personal augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system.  These questions include analyzing current communication systems, goals for language using a personal AAC system, and where the AAC system will be supported.  Asking valuable questions and analyzing the answers will result in plans that are focused on developing language.
