Local Education Agencies (LEAs) must have board policies re-linked or re-uploaded to the Special Education Legal Framework by October 31, 2020 in order to be in compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) rules. Districts who subscribe to Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) online policy services will link to each specific policy using the district's website. Districts who don't use the TASB online policy service and all charter schools must upload a PDF of each policy. If you are linking to TASB online policies you will need to be familiar with your district's website and the location of board policies within it. If you are uploading policies you will need to bring a CD or a mobile/jump drive that has the board policies scanned, converted to PDF format and saved by each individual policy (EHBA, DEE, DMB, etc.).
