Phonological Awareness Skills-What's the Big Deal?

Phonological Awareness is a broad term that includes identifying and manipulating units of oral language, such as parts of words, syllables and onsets, and rimes. Learn why a deficit in these skills can contribute to reading difficulties, and determine what you can do to help students develop these critical skills.
