Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid March 23, 2021




Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth.  This will be taught virtually.  Once registered, you will receive an email with Pre-Work.  It is self paced and must be completed prior to the virtual portion of the class.  The virtual portion is taught via zoom and last 4 hours.  YMHFA satisfies HB 18 mandates for school staff professional development requirements in the area of Mental Health.

IMPORTANT: Participants must register 3 weeks before the virtual session in order to be added to the course.  Once registered, you will receive an email with Pre-Work.  Pre-work is self-paced and must be completed prior to the virtual portion of the class.  The virtual portion is taught via zoom and lasts 4 hours.

IMPORTANT: For security purposes, participants must register with a school district email address to receive a Zoom link.  *Check "My Account" on the registration page to ensure your email address in the ESC 6 registration system is a correct school email address.  A Zoom link will be emailed to you before the session.  Check-in is recommended 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event.
