ESC 6 - School Safety Conference

This one-day Conference will focus on total School Safety from physical threats to mental health, suicide and even touch base on how to create an Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) that meets your every need.  Safety vendors will be present to meet and discuss any of your School Districts' needs.

Important Session Information:

Few would argue that students in schools are experiencing a variety of personal challenges. Schools can help foster a sense of safety and promote better academic and behavioral outcomes by providing a sense of connection and a safe school environment. This can reduce mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties with students at risk.

During this School Safety Conference, professionals will have the opportunity to hear from our keynote speaker, Liz Huntley, author of “More Than a Bird” and renowned motivational speaker regarding trauma, connection, and the importance of providing a safe place for students. There will also be sessions from Cy-Fair ISD Mental Health Intervention Team and Suicide Prevention from Stephanie Duer, HB19 Mental Health Outreach Specialist.
