Is Your District in Compliance and Prepared for a Title IX Complaint? This is an in-depth training for Title IX Coordinators and other administrators who will assist in responding to a sexual harassment report or complaint under the new Title IX regulations. Specifically, we will cover the topics below:

  • A refresher on required District compliance in response to the new Title IX regulations.
  • Train Title IX Coordinators how to respond to sexual harassment reports and comply with the District’s Title IX formal complaint procedures.
  • Distinguish between Title IX sexual harassment and other sexual harassment under FFH(LOCAL) and the impact of this determination on how the District responds to a report or complaint.
  • Train administrators designated as investigators, decision-makers or facilitators.
  • Tips for handling investigations and writing the investigation report.
  • Tips for decision-makers concerning the determination of responsibility, including handling a party’s written questions to other parties or witnesses and writing the written determination.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest and bias in the formal complaint process.
  • The process for an appeal of the dismissal of a formal complaint or an appeal of the determination of responsibility.
