How to Incorporate Dyslexia into a Full and Individual Evaluation?




Since dyslexia is a specific learning disability, this training explores how to correctly incorporate dyslexia in a full and individual evaluation as it relates to a specific learning disability.




Important Session Information:


Evaluators will learn how to incorporate the components of a dyslexia identification into the full and individual evaluation. With this session, participants will gain legal and practical knowledge on how to effectively evaluate and report students who have been referred due to a reading concern. Additionally, guidance will be given on how an ARD committee should address eligibility for students with a specific learning disability in basic reading or reading fluency with the condition of dyslexia.

This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform, participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure  our email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 20-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow entry into the session.
