Beyond discrete preferences: Assessing preferences for activities and instructional contexts.
Most teachers and specialists are familiar with basic preference assessment methodologies to identify high preferred toys and edibles. However, not all students prefer discrete items. The hour-long presentation will provide a brief background on the purpose and benefits of preference assessments, limitations of traditional assessments, and the rationale for a concurrent-chains preference assessment. Presenter will provide applications of the procedure at the individual and class-wide levels, as well as a demonstration.
