This session will explore the relationship between state and district requirements for graduation, special education options, PEIMS coding, and the documentation needed to accurately reflect a student’s high school education.
Townsley Tayebianpour will share the whole story of graduation. Participants will examine course codes, credits, and transcripts in order to identify appropriate Academic Achievement Records (AAR) for students receiving special education services. In addition, participants will receive an electronic note-taking guide with relevant references to the Texas Administration Code (TAC), and the Texas Education Code (TEC).
Please note: This training will take place via Zoom over the course of two half-days. You must complete both half-days in order to receive full credit.
This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform, participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure our email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 20-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow entry into the session.
