Ethical Issues in School Psychology
Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP) Ethics Training




Participants will be provided with guidance on the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Professional Standards. The Professional Standards are national principles that guide professional practices, credentialing, and ethical behavior of school psychologists, such as the Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs) who serve the public schools of Texas. The standards are updated every ten years to ensure guidance is provided within an ever-changing educational landscape. This session meets the ethical requirements for LSSPs.  



Important Session Information:


Guidance will be given by Dr. Andrea Ogonosky on NASP Professional Standards. Updated legal cases related to NASP standards will be presented and discussed to illustrate ethical standards of assessment, data interpretation, collaboration, and the comprehensive written report.  Additionally, Dr. Ogonosky will facilitate a question and answer session during the presentation.

 

This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform, participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure our email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 20-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow entry into the session.
