When evaluating English Language Learners (ELLs) for the condition of dyslexia or dysgraphia, the Bilingual Diagnostician and Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs), must have a firm foundation of how cognitive processes relate to achievement abilities regarding meeting the criteria for the condition of dyslexia or dysgraphia. Therefore, Dr. Cole will provide participants with best practices of evaluating for the conditions of dyslexia and dysgraphia for ELLs. These practices will be based on the current Texas Dyslexia Handbook.

This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform, participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure our email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 20-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow entry into the session.
