Day 2: Presentations 3 and 4

Important Session Information:


Day 2 of Project TAPP includes the following presentations:

Presentation 3 (AM Session)

Motivation vs Skill Deficits - This presentation will explore the difference between a motivation deficit and a skill deficit, teaching participants how to identify the difference between the two concepts in a school setting and how to respond to each need. Participants will have ample opportunity to engage with the content and practice the skills learned throughout.

Presentation 4 (PM Session)Prompting and Promoting Independence - This presentation will share strategies to teach and promote independence for individuals with autism , as well as explore and practice different methods of prompting that support skill acquisition and correct responding while preventing prompt dependency.
