The purpose of this session is to familiarize teachers with the process by which a student is nominated, assessed, and identified for gifted (advanced academics) services. This training is Day 2 of the 30-hour foundation which is required for teachers of G/T students.

Important Session Information:


Are you working to earn your G/T 30-hour training? This is the second day in the series of required sessions. In this session, Identification & Assessment, you will learn how to recognize potentially-gifted students and the instruments used to make program decisions. This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform. Participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure your email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 15-20 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow entry into the session and check equipment.
