This session will offer program coordinators and administrators in Migrant Funded Districts the most recent guidelines and procedures for the Migrant Education Program established by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Important Session Information:


The purpose for this training is to provide guidance on the successful implementation of a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and how to properly run a PAC meeting with meaningful consultation, and provide training and resources to assist with procedures. The goal is to make parents feel valued & let them know their voice matters to the Migrant Education program (MEP), strengthen relationships between migrant families & campus staff, meaningful consultation among everyone, and use Robert's Rules of Order & Parliamentary Procedures as the manner for conducting business. This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure your email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event.
