Lunch & Learn - Training & Conversations with Parents of Special Needs Students - ZOOM
Transitioning into Summer (Zoom)

These virtual monthly sessions will host a variety of presenters on topics of interest pertaining behavior management, developmental and learning processes, and/or legal updates.

Meetings are open to parents of students with special needs ages 3 to 22 who reside in the ESC 6 region.  At every meeting, parents will have an opportunity to suggest topics for future presentations.

Important Session Information:

Meredith Sharp & Christine Biddle will speak on behavior strategies that parents can use to help their children to transition into different seasons and routines.

Particularly suited for parents of students in the Autism Spectrum Disorder, this meeting is also helpful for any student who struggles with changes in routines or who may need some support regulating their emotions/behaviors in face of new challenges.

Summer can be troublesome for some children because they often lack a daily schedule, and/or brings several socially demanding situations that can be stressful to children and adults alike.  Presenters will speak on how some planning and accommodations can make the summer season a pleasant time for all.
