Behavior Specialist Network

Purpose:

  • Collaboration across different specialists on behavior practices in the classrooms/homes across school districts
  • Professional Development opportunity by providing a guest speaker or a facilitator to discuss specific behavior practices in the school setting
  • Collaboration with universities providing training and/or research opportunities in the area as it relates to evidence based behavior practices for school staff
  • Networking opportunities for professionals in the surrounding area to foster growth in the quality of services provided for students and educators

  • BCBA school staff
  • LSSPs
  • Behavior Teachers

Important Session Information:


Alexis Favela, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA will be presenting on this specific program and how our ESC6 region students and families could participate in this program.  

The Burkhart Center was recently awarded a grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) that will allow for the creation of the Texas Telehealth Outreach Clinic for Autism (TTOCA) to bring several of the services we currently provided in our clinic to the entire state of Texas. Services provided through TTOCA are: ABA telehealth services, parent-implemented interventions, and group trainings for educators, parents, and caregivers who work with the ASD population.
