Using the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines in the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and Prekindergarten Classroom Series - Zoom
Session 1 - Setting Up the ECSE/Prekindergarten Classroom Environment to Promote Social, Emotional, and Language Development




Join us for a series of five sessions centered on the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines. Discover strategies to increase learning in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and Prekindergarten classrooms. Topics for sessions will include:

Setting Up the Classroom Environment to Promote Social, Emotional,and Language Development (December 2, 2021)

Emergent Literacy Reading (January 6, 2022)

Emergent Literacy Writing (February 3, 2022)

Mathematics (March 3, 2022)

Science and Social Studies (April 2022)

Each of the five sessions are designed to be stand-alone sessions.  All sessions will be virtual only. Participants will need to register for each session they plan to attend.



Important Session Information:


Join us for the first of five one hour sessions as we review the Prekindergarten Guidelines. In this first session, we will explore different ways to enhance your ECSE or prekindergarten classroom environment. Learn how the environment can promote language skills. It is not too late to make changes to your environment for this school year!

New and experienced teachers are encouraged to attend. We all learn best from each other.

This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform. Participants are not required to create a zoom account. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure your email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct.
