Virtual Foster Care Benefits for Transitioning & Former Foster Care Youth




Empowering education professionals with information, resources, and tools to positively impact the educational experience of students in foster care. 

Important Session Information:


There are many benefits available for our Transitioning & Former Foster Care Youth that will greatly impact their education, careers, and health. In this session you will learn how children in the Texas foster care program can take advantage of Medicaid through the STAR Health program.  Also, you will learn information on resources available such as the Texas Tuition & Fee Waiver and the Education & Training Voucher (ETV). 

This is a virtual event utilizing the Zoom platform. A computer set-up must include internet and camera capabilities. Participants will receive a Zoom link via email to join prior to the session. Check “My Account” on the registration page to ensure your email address in the ESC6 registration system is correct. Check-in is recommended 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of the event.
