Are you a general educator new to teaching students with disabilities? Or a special educator who is seeking ways to create better inclusive experiences for students? Or possibly a speech therapist or occupational therapist who is increasingly providing services in EC or Pre-K environments? If you replied “yes” to any of these questions, this session is for you.
This workshop is focused on teacher-tested ideas that are easy to implement, appropriate for young children (e.g., video modeling, AAC for all, movement) and can be used to plan lessons and provide practice for social and communication skills. Viewers will learn why inclusive classrooms are so powerful for all students and be introduced to ideas that work for children with disabilities (and those without identified needs). Tools that can be used to implement the strategies will also be shared.
This workshop is for all skill levels and will be of interest to teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals interested in inclusive education.
