Tool Kit for Evaluating Emergent Bilingual Students Whose Native Language is not Spanish




The goal of this training is to ensure special education evaluators are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to the unique evaluation needs of emergent bilingual students; thus, guiding evaluation personnel with effective tools and best practices to implement linguistically appropriate evaluations.



Important Session Information:


Texas is home to a diverse population of students; therefore, special education evaluators need to understand best practices when evaluating emergent bilingual students whose native language is not Spanish. Dr. Corinna Cole will provide awareness into how to best meet these students' needs through a comprehensive full and individual evaluation.   

This event is virtual utilizing the Zoom platform and participants will receive a Zoom link on Friday, September 16th via email. Therefore, ensure that your email address in your ESC6 registration system is correct.
