Accelerate vs Remediate

Research suggests that students have experienced record learning loss over the last two years.  This session will guide educators in specific practices and strategies that can help schools begin accelerating student learning.  A focus will be on providing students with challenging, engaging school experiences that can accelerate them to learning on grade level with their peers.

The primary focus of remediation is to master concepts from past years.  The purpose of acceleration is to strategically prepare students for success in the present.  Instead of concentrating on items that students have failed to master, acceleration readies students for new learning.
