Emergent Bilingual Evaluation Series
Are you Missing the ā€œSā€ and the ā€œWā€? Evaluating Emergent Bilingual Students for a Specific Learning Disability-Dyslexia/Dysgraphia




The goal of this training is to ensure special education evaluators are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to the unique evaluation needs of emergent bilingual students; thus, guiding evaluation personnel with effective tools and best practices to implement linguistically appropriate evaluations.



Important Session Information:


Dr. Corinna Cole will provide participants with best practices on how to conduct a Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) for an emergent bilingual student who is suspected of having a Specific Learning Disability. Dyslexia and Dysgraphia elements of the FIE will be included in the session.

This event is virtual utilizing the Zoom platform and participants will receive a Zoom link on Friday, November 4th via email. Therefore, ensure that your email address in your ESC6 registration system is correct.
