The Region 6 Significant Disproportionality (SD) Core Group was created to help special education directors whose districts have an over-representation of particular races or ethnicities among students with a disability with respect to the identification of students, educational placement, and/or discipline. This group meets on a regular basis to discuss root causes contributing to significant disproportionality, relevant aspects of Differentiated Monitoring and Support (DMS) that includes Results Driven Accountability (RDA) systems.
