Significant Disproportionality -- SD 101

All states are required to measure and address Significant Disproportionality (SD) according to the federal requirements. Texas has incorporated the SD requirements in the annual statewide Results Driven Accountability (RDA) process.

This learning session will familiarize participants with the key tenets of how Significant Disproportionality (SD) is identified and subsequently, monitored and addressed in Texas. Training includes an overview of the SD regulations and its methodology before exploring SD data calculations, reporting and helpful resources.

This training has been "vetted" by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and is provided by the statewide Special Education Liaisons at each of the 20 regional education service centers.
